Companies based at the Technopole Pays Basque present at the Paris Air Show

The 53rd edition of the Paris International Air Show at Le Bourget welcomed 2,453 exhibitor companies including SMEs and start-ups from the Basque Country Urban Authority based at Izarbel Technology Park and Technocité.

The Paris International Air Show at Le Bourget, with 2,453 exhibitors from 49 countries, is s one of the largest air shows in the world. The 53rd edition was organised in June 2019 and welcomed 316,000 visitors including 139,840 professionals and 2,700 journalists during the week.

For aeronautical and aerospace companies, the Paris Air show is an unmissable event. So it was clearly a destination for companies based in the Basque Country’s Urban Authority such as Hasparren-based Lauak or Anglet-based Télarad, but also firms based at the Basque Country Technology Park, like the Izarbel-based company 2Moro, managed by Pierre Dagois.

“We got great exposure thanks to the Sopra Steria Group, the European leader in digital transformation which we joined two years ago. During the show, we presented a new version of our Aero-Webb software, which was well received,” commented Pierre Dagois.

The show also hosted 140 start-ups including 70 from the Paris Air Lab 2019 selection, which has the start-up Lynxte, from the Bayonne Technocité incubator for developing additive manufacturing machine-tools. “The trade show was a great driver of innovation and dialogue. It enabled us to meet international players and consider possible collaborations. In addition, we were selected as a start-up by Airbus Development and spent half a day at their booth”, explained Caroline Labat from Lynxter.
