10th PHAROS Event in the Basque Country

PHAROS, short for “Photonics, Aeronautics, Space”, is the result of a partnership between two competitiveness clusters: Aerospace Valley and ALPHA-RLH. It’s an initiative aimed at enhancing the applications of photonics technology in the aerospace industry.

The 10th PHAROS Event dealing with electronic and photonic systems for industrial operations and maintenance was held at the Dassault Aviation facility in Anglet last December. Photonics is the science of light generation, manipulation and transmission, offering countless applications in the aerospace industry. Every year, the PHAROS Event brings together representatives from the Aerospace Valley(Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie) and ALPHA-RLH(Route des Lasers & des Hyperfréquences - Nouvelle-Aquitaine) competitiveness clusters. It is worth noting that the Basque Country Conurbation’s Technocité technology park is a certified member of the Aerospace Valley competitiveness cluster whose aim is to develop the competitiveness of airborne systems and the aerospace industry in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions.
