Staero helped by the ‘France Relance’ plan

The Staero Company in Bayonne, award-winners under the ‘France Relance (France Relaunch)’ plan, are investing in a machine tool that will allow them to diversify. This project is among the 52 projects in French companies to be supported by this national plan.

Among the 52 new projects to benefit from the ‘France Relance’ plan for the aeronautical sector is the one being led by the Staero Company in Bayonne. The company is one of the award-winners to benefit – across the nation – from 137 million euros of productive investment in the form of funds to support modernisation, diversification and the greening of processes in the aeronautics sector.

Created in 1989 in Bayonne, Staero is a precision engineering company in the aeronautics sector with a workforce of around thirty. As a leading sub-contractor of the Dassault Aviation group, Staero intends to develop its business into other economic sectors.

”The key idea is diversification,” says Jean-Baptiste Faure, Head of the Staero Company. “The 700,000 euros of government aid has enabled us to invest in a new machine: a multifunction tower with continuous 5 axis which will be delivered next May.

“This machine will allow us to offer competitive prices and recover markets outside of aeronautics in France and abroad. We will be able to manufacture parts in one single operation and with automation processes for parts of low added value with a high volume of production,” he explains.
