A half-day devoted to raising awareness about additive manufacturing was organised with Addimadour, the innovation and technology transfer platform for metal additive manufacturing based at the Technocité Technology Park.

Organised by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine CCI, the Bayonne Basque Country CCI and the Technical Centre for the Mechanical Industries on 5 July, this conference offered an introduction to the different technical solutions provided by additive manufacturing.

“Around forty participants, the majority of whom were representatives of SMEs, came to find out about 3-D printing and additive manufacturing processes as well as the advantages and disadvantages of setting it up in businesses. During the inauguration of the Addimadour platform on 19 May, an audience which was more conversant with this new technology came along, and a few studies and projects were launched” recounted Olivier Larre, Addimadour’s manager

After the Technocité technopolitan site, other sites in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region will host information sessions on additive manufacturing in September and October. These sessions will also be organised by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine CCI and the Technical Centre for the Mechanical Industries.
