Energy improvements: two calls for projects launched by the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region

The ‘Energy competitiveness’ call for projects targets companies aiming to increase energy efficiency for their industrial processes, while the ‘Buildings of the Future’ call for projects targets companies, regional authorities, public institutions and associations aiming to minimise the environmental impact of their building renovation work.

The first call for projects, ‘Energy competitiveness’, is open to all manufacturing companies throughout the Aquitaine Limousin Poitou-Charentes region, whatever their size and location.

In line with the 34 manufacturing plans and the development of the Factory of the Future, the Regional Council has decided to support projects improving the energy competitiveness of manufacturing companies.

This support will include energy assessments necessary for identifying and quantifying energy savings, feasibility studies and investments. The application deadline is 16 March 2017.

The second call for projects, ‘Buildings of the Future’, aims to generate pioneering and innovative operations, making energy choices that are reproducible and also form part of an overall approach for environmental excellency.

The objective is to minimise the impact of renovation work on the environment for the duration of the project by encouraging the contracting authority to achieve a high standard of energy performance, paired with a greenhouse gas or embodied energy audit.

Players targeted by this call for projects include companies that own tertiary buildings, communities and groupings with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants, public institutions (including health and higher education establishments) and associations. The application deadline is 16 March 2017.
