The technological resource centre NOBATEK/INEF4 at Arkinova Technology Park held its general meeting on 16th June, which featured the election of directors and the welcoming of new partner companies.

Founded in 2004, the NOBATEK association set up in the Arkinova Technology Park in 2009 in a building constructed according to the principles of eco-construction. In 2016, the NOBATEK association became a “Société Coopérative d’Intérêt Collectif”, or SCIC (a cooperative society in the public interest), and was renamed NOBATEK/INEF4.

Labelled a National Institute for Energy Transition by the Investments for the Future Programme in 2013, the centre co-developed innovative solutions for energy and environmental transition for the entire building sector. It is working to become a national platform of open innovation for key players in sustainable construction.

The first general meeting of the new SCIC, NOBATEK/INEF4, took place on Friday 16th June in the Arkinova Park. Around 50 of the associates present (out of a total of 76) elected Dominique Thomasson, director of COVERIS (company specialising in designing and constructing glass facades and architectural skylights), to the position of President of NOBETEK/INEF4.

Olivier Scheffer, current Deputy Director General, was also appointed Director General, replacing Jacques Tortos, founder of Nobatek. The general meeting approved the entry of eight new associates into the SCIC, some of whom are entrepreneurs in the building and civil engineering industry.
