The Topography Forum at Arkinova

The Arkinova Business Generator will host the 14^th Topography Forum on Thursday 29 March, organised by the French Topography Association (AFT) and the Lycée Cantau High School.

The AFT was established in 1978 and brings together professionals in the field of topography and geomatics.  Every year, the AFT organises a forum around topical themes and the 2018 edition will deal with ‘indoor and outdoor mobile mapping’.

This forum, organised in association with Lycée Cantau HighSchool, will take place in the Arkinova Business Generator and will welcome some twenty exhibitors in addition to the conferences. 300 participants are expected.  Registration for this forum closed on 22 March.

Forum programme

•    9am - 9.30am: Forum inauguration and coffee

•    9.30am - 9.45am: Participants’ welcome by Gérard Monpays, Head of Lycée Cantau High School and Françoise Duquenne, President of AFT

•    9.45am - 10.15am: ‘The advantage of mobile mapping for large-scale topographical data’, Mikaël Royère (GEOSAT)

•    9.45am - 10.15am: ‘Mobile mapping and precise geo-referencing of underground networks’, Quentin Dartiailh (IMAJING)

•    10.45am - 11am: Inauguration of the GEO 3D class by its sponsors, the Inspector-General of Public Education and the President of AFT

•    11am - 11.30am: Exhibitors’ speeches

•    11.30am - 1pm: Tour of exhibition stands

•    1pm - 2pm: Break for lunch

•    2pm - 3pm: Coffee at the exhibition stands

•    3pm -3.45pm: Exhibitors’ speeches

•    3.45pm - 4.15pm: ‘Preparation for the IPIN International Indoor Positioning Competition 2018: pedestrian navigation mapping’, Valérie Renaudin (IFSTTAR)

•    4.15pm - 5pm: AFT prize-giving to Luc Perrin, Maxime Cartier Xatard and Maylis Teyssendier De La Serve (10-minute presentation each)

•    5.15pm: Cocktail
