ADI N-A locates in the Basque Country

The Agence de Développement et d'Innovation de la Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Nouvelle-Aquitaine Agency for Development and Innovation) has opened a branch at the Izarbel Technology Park.  Pierre-Gilles Point develops support programmes for companies.

Created from the merger in June 2016 of the regional agencies of Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes, the ADI N-A brings together 80 members.  In addition to sites in Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Limoges, Pau, Poitiers and Angoulême, ADI N-A opened a branch at the Izarbel Technology Park in Bidart in early 2018.  

‘ADI N-A has been present in Izarbel since early January 2018. My task is to guide industries or industrial service companies in the Basque Country area.  I am based in the premises of ESTIA Entreprendre, a place of exchange between different environments, such as emerging companies (SE, SME and IE), start-ups, clusters, R&D etc.’ Pierre-Gilles Point, the project manager for company support, tells us.

ADI N-A teams consist of engineers, doctors, field experts, designers or marketing specialists.  ‘I’m a general engineer in process engineering and I worked for 17 years in industry for the Environment Energy Process department of Bertin Technologies, a technology service provider and manufacturer’, Pierre-Gilles Point explains.

The ADI N-A agenda comprises four key missions, in line with the actions of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region relative to economic development and innovation support: guidance in the transformation of companies; exploration of emerging sectors; steering networks, in particular the regional innovation network Innovez en Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and the attractiveness and location of French or foreign businesses via the Invest in Nouvelle-Aquitaine network.

‘Since I began my task, I have met industrial companies in all sectors in addition to stakeholders in economic development and innovation, including the Pays Basque Urban Community’, says Pierre-Gilles Point. He has an office in the ESTIA 2 building and receives project developers and entrepreneurs who wish to develop and drive a company innovation or transformation project.
