Start-ups from the Basque Country Technology Park presented at the Nouvelle-Aquitaine IEs club
Representatives of thirteen Intermediate Enterprises (IE) in Nouvelle-Aquitaine met with ten start-ups from the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Landes departments, the large majority of which are based at the Basque Country Technology Park sites.
At the initiative of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine IE club, which brings together 83 businesses employing between 250 and 5,000 people each, a half-day event of encounters with start-ups was organised on 13 June at ESTIA engineering school at the Izarbel Technology Park site in Bidart. Ten young innovative companies were previously selected to present themselves individually in fifteen minutes. The event aimed to create contacts for potential collaborations between these large businesses and the innovative new companies.
Thirteen IEs and major SMEs including AQMO, CevaSante Animale, Epsilon Composite, Filhet Allard, Hotravail, Gascogne Group, Pena Group, Kimo, Labeyrie Fine Foods and Worldcastsystems were also represented in Bidart during the encounters. The area of the Basque Country Urban Authority was represented by the companies Lauak, Sokoa and Technoflex, who were looking to discover disruptive technologies and innovative services and solutions.
Seven start-ups from the Basque Country Technology Park
The Basque Country Technology Park was represented by five start-ups from Izarbel including 1A3i (document restructuring), Aguila Technologies (electronic systems), Expateo (mobility management), Hupi (Big data), and Message In A Window (advertising space marketplace), and two startups from Technocité in Bayonne: Kometa Technologies with a metallisation process and Lynxter which designs and builds additive manufacturing machine tools.
The three other start-ups selected from the region were: Move Your Buddy based in Anglet, which is developing a solution to create connections within businesses, and two companies in Béarn: Packitoo with its custom packaging application and Ylis, which designs and manufactures electrical equipment accessories. Ultimately, the initiative gave the representatives of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine IEs club an interesting overview of innovative industrial technologies and digital applications. Initial contacts have been made. It now remains to develop regional collaborations.
