Job speed-dating at the Wild Code School

The first class of students of the Wild Code School, which trains IT developers over three to five months, will soon be graduating. So, the school is organising a day of meetings on 31 May at the Izarbel Technology Park, where it is based.

The initial intake of eight developers began their training back in early April. Izarbel is the latest of ten (and last to date) training sites belonging to the Wild Code School, which was set up in 2014. The school’s USP is its offering of three or five-month training courses using innovative learning methods.

On 22 June, the first set of students will complete their studies at the Izarbel Technology Park, where the Wild Code School is based, in partnership with ESTIA. From that date, eight developers will be available for work, so the Wild Code School is organising for recruiters to come and meet them on Thursday, 31 May at Izarbel. Interviews will be arranged and recruiters will be able to consult the students’ CVs in advance by contacting the head of the Izarbel Wild Code School, Sophie Lalanne.

She comments: “The increased skills level among this first cohort is remarkable. They were all developers and specialised in Java JEE. These skills are used in software development and perfectly match the needs of local businesses.”
