Solikend Wins Sustainable Tourism Award

The web platform for 'charitable hotel stays', developed in Izarbel, is a winner of the 3rd Sustainable Tourism Awards (Palmes du Tourisme Durable) in the "Start-up" category.

Last February 26th, the sustainable tourism prizes were awarded at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs head office in Paris. Organized by the media for tourism professionals, TourMaG.com and the non-profit association ATD (Acteurs du tourisme durable) with support from the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, eleven winners received awards.

The "Start-up" category honored the Solikend platform, under development since the spring of 2017 at the Izarbel Technology Park in Bidart. Created by Yoann Magnin, Solikend sells hotel rooms offered by ‘charitable hotels’ and whose payment is totally donated to charities.
