A Nantes-based organization bringing together professionals in the field of sustainable development visited the Arkinova Technology Park during a trip to Basque Country from 11 to 13 October.

Midis’net is an organization founded in Nantes in late 2012 that brings together women engineers, architects and business leaders from the Pays de la Loire region. The organization’s unique feature is that all the members are involved in environmental issues. From 11 to 13 October, around fifteen members travelled to the Basque Country to discover initiatives featuring a “working together differently” approach and meet those leading the projects. In addition to themes of entrepreneurship, cooperation and innovative projects, the trip specifically focused on initiatives related to construction, sustainable urban planning and participatory housing.

Delphine Saint-Quentin, a former member of the organization who now lives on the Basque coast, helped organize this trip, which featured a closer look at the Arkinova Technology Park. “Our members are interested in the cooperation between different stakeholders aimed at promoting innovative practices in construction, buildings and urban planning. The Activity Generator caught our attention with its architecture and the space it provides for meetings and cooperation between stakeholders,” Delphine Saint-Quentin explained after the visit.
