UPPA accompanies energy transition

The University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, partly based in Bayonne and Anglet (Montaury campus) at the heart of the Arkinova Business Generator, is organising an “Entrepreneurship Spring Camp” in Capbreton. Teams will develop business projects based on environmental topics over three days.

Laurent Pecastaing, a university professor at the UPPA, Director of LabCom SAGE (CEA/UPPA) and E2S UPPA partnerships project leader summed up: “The idea is for the teams to move forward on entrepreneurial projects linked to energy and the environment,” The project leaders and teams dedicated to advising them over the three days will meet in Capbreton from May 22 to May 24, 2019. The “Entrepreneurship Spring Camp” is part of the E2S-UPPA Solutions for Energy and the Environment” project, which is backed by a consortium made up of the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, Inria and INRA.

Three students, a professor and a research engineer have had their projects selected. Cross-disciplinary teams composed of students, professors, professional trainers but also entrepreneurs, all likely to want to develop partnerships, will work in teams on the five projects. “The idea is to dedicate the three days to developing projects which foster collective intelligence, feedback on experience, multi-disciplinary input and the know-how/skills of professional trainers.” explained Laurent Pecastaing. It is worthy of note that two projects were developed by PhD students from UPPA Bayonne and UPPA Anglet.
