Launch of the call for projects for ‘Innovation Contest’

This support scheme, funded by the PIA future investments programme, is geared towards innovative projects by start-ups and SMEs.

Launched on July 9 and operated by Bpifrance, ADEME and FranceAgriMer, this call for projects aims to co-finance research, development and innovation projects with total costs between €600,000 and €5m and a duration of between 12 and 36 months.  The aim is to promote the accelerated development of leading companies in their sector with, in particular, strong potential for international growth.

Nine themes (details to be found in the specifications brief) have been identified for participation in this innovation contest and are divided among the operators of the call for projects:

  • Four operated by Bpifrance: digital, health, space and inclusive & supportive society.
  • Four operated by ADEME: environmental performance in buildings; eco-efficient forestry, industry & agriculture; circular economy; chronic exposure and health risks.
  • One operated by FranceAgriMer: intelligent food.

The projects must be put forward by a single company and the funding provided in the framework of this innovation contest will be in the form of State aid, consisting of two-thirds grant and one-third repayable advance.  Applications must be submitted before 12 noon on 9 October 2018, online only on the extranet for collaborative innovative projects: https://extranet.bpifrance.fr/projets-innovants-collaboratifs/accueil.do?method=init
