i-Lab 2020 innovation competition showcased at Izarbel

Open to all innovative technology project sponsors, the competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in partnership with Bpifrance will be presented at Izarbel on Wednesday, January 29th. Grants awarded by the i-Lab 2020 competition may reach up to €600,000.

The 22nd i-Lab competition is aimed at detecting projects for creating innovative technology companies, then supporting them through financial aid and the appropriate support. In its 21 years of existence, i-Lab has supported the creation of over 2000 businesses.
The competition is open to sponsors with projects for companies not yet created or companies under two years old. Candidates holding capital in another company must justify their capacity to be fully involved in the project entered in the competition.

The grant financing the R&D program for finalizing a product, process or innovative technological service will be in the form of a grant not to exceed €600,000. Applications are to be filed online only on the platform run by Bpifrance via a dematerialized application form before Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 12 noon (CET). 

A presentation of the competition will be held at Izarbel on January 29th from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in the ESTIA 2 building (Meeting Room 2). The presentation will be led by Natalia Araujo, Bpifrance innovation delegate for Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Dominique Rebière, regional delegate for research and technology and Patxi Elissalde, Director of ESTIA.
