Companies can reply to the 5th “Innovation Workshop” call for projects organised by the Pays Basque Urban Authority until 18 September. An overall allocation of €60,000 will be given to the winning projects.

For the fifth year running, the Pays Basque Urban Authority is continuing the initiative instigated by the Côte Basque – Adour Urban Authority and, along with ESTIA, is launching the “Innovation Workshop” call for projects. It’s a competition open to businesses based in the area of the cities of Bayonne, Anglet, Biarritz, Bidart and Boucau.

This call for projects is aimed at businesses with fewer than 20 employees who are developing an innovative product (goods or service). This year, a special prize for “Sustainable construction and development” will be awarded to a project linked to these activity sectors.

The winning companies will benefit from a maximum subsidy of €25,000, exclusively intended to fund the project presented and customised assistance suitable for their project from ESTIA for a maximum period of 12 months.

In 2016, fifteen companies applied and three of them shared the grant of €60,000. Two companies from the Izarbel Technology Park – Wikicampers and HUPI - were among the winners.

Applications can be submitted until 18 September 2017 at midnight. The terms and conditions of the call for projects are available on the website:
