As well as developing the activity of his consultancy, ALDE, Alexandre Blot is carrying out a research and development project on building envelopes. He plans on using the Arkinova ecosystem to provide impetus for this project.

“I came to the Arkinova Technology Park in Anglet in February 2017 to develop a technological monitoring project that will extend to a research and development project on the theme of wood-built housing. This project is separate from my work at the consultancy,” Alexandre Biot explains.

On a daily basis, this engineer, a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers, has been developing Etudes ALDE, his consultancy created in 2014 and specialized in wooden and metallic constructions. “I create the link between architects and craftspeople in charge of projects. I am specialized in the wooden housing sector, and my clients are individuals, architects, businesses and local authorities,” he specifies.

In parallel with the activity of Etudes ALDE, Alexandre Biot is working on a project related to the composition of wood-frame walls. “The idea is to change conventional wisdom and knowledge in order to streamline this building technique. A lot of progress can be made in the field of building envelopes. The Arkinova ecosystem is perfectly suited to this innovative project,” he attests.

Already, conferences and collaborative workshops organized by Arkinova’s Activity Generator, led and managed by the Urban Authority have ideas for his project.
