An expert in reinforced concrete corrosion moves to the Business Generator

Arnaud Dubosc is moving to the Arkinova Business Generator to begin a project which aims to prevent corrosion in reinforced concrete structures through using cathodic protection. This is done by incorporating advanced modelling techniques developed at INSA Toulouse.

“The main focus of my work is repairing corrosion pathologies that affect reinforced concrete structures,” explains Arnaud Dubosc. After training as a civil engineer, and then doing a doctorate at INSA Toulouse, Dubosc joined a French group which specialises in construction, water, development and infrastructure engineering. In 2010, he created an agency for the company which is based in Anglet and specialises in all types of building engineering.

Dubosc hopes that by creating the agency, Corten Ingénerie, and moving to the Arkinova Technology Park, he will attract a clientele who is looking for people with specialist skills to work as their project management assistant or project manager. As a specialist in cathodic protection of reinforced concrete, a technique which fights against the corrosion of frames, Dubosc is mainly offering his expertise to property co-ownership unions, swimming pool owners or thalassotherapy centres and other public or private clients who manage reinforced concrete structures, whether they are land-based or maritime.

Since he is still in contact with researchers from the French National Insitute in Applied Sciences (INSA) Toulouse, Dubosc is developing a partnership so he can carry out research on the cathodic protection of reinforced concrete and the modelling of these phenomena. Arnaud Dubosc moved to the Arkinova Business Generator “to be surrounded by innovative businesses”, and he will be in familiar territory since he also works at the Aquitaine higher institute of building and public works (ISA BTP) and the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour’s public engineering school, which is also located in Anglet.
