Branchez Rugby launches a chatbot

The professional rugby statistics website is offering a real-time chatbot on Facebook for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

The start-up created at the Izarbel Technology Park in March 2014 is a data journalism media project. Developed by Gillen Gamiochipi and a team of four people based in Bordeaux, Paris and Bidart, the Branchez Rugby website offers a solution for viewing information that can be configured according to the interests of each user. For the 2019 Rugby World Cup, which will take place from 20 September to 02 November in Japan, Branchez Rugby has teamed up with former player Laurent Cabannes (49 French team selections) to launch "Le French Flair by Laurent", a real-time chatbot on Facebook Messenger. Laurent Cabannes will deliver "off" information, pre-match analysis and statistics as well as real-time scores on an innovative media.
